# Trends by Firecrawl

Search trends: how search interest in up to five terms changes over time and by region, related searches, and what is trending now.

Every page is available as Markdown: add `.md` to the path (for example `https://trends.firecrawl.dev/explore.md?q=pizza,tacos&geo=US`) or send `Accept: text/markdown`. Links in Markdown pages point at other Markdown pages.

Interest over time (0–100), interest by region, and top and rising related searches for the first term. Query parameters:
  - `q`: one to five comma-separated search terms (or topic IDs like `/m/0663v`), each up to 100 characters.
  - `geo`: empty for worldwide, a country (`US`), region (`US-CA`) or metro (`US-CA-807`).
  - `date`: `now 1-H`, `now 4-H`, `now 1-d`, `now 7-d`, `today 1-m`, `today 3-m`, `today 12-m`, `today 5-y`, `all`, or `YYYY-MM-DD YYYY-MM-DD`. Defaults to `today 12-m`.
  - `cat`: category number, `0` (default) for all.
  - `gprop`: empty for web search, or `images`, `news`, `youtube`, `froogle` (Shopping).

## Notes

- Interest is relative: 100 is the peak for the chosen terms, place and time; with several terms they share one scale.
- Data is sampled when requested: Explore results are cached for an hour and Trending now for fifteen minutes.
- Each visitor gets 120 page views an hour; beyond that pages answer `429`.
- For programmatic access with the same data, use the `firecrawl-trends` provider through the Firecrawl API.
